Founder and President
Leslie Oren has been a communications specialist for more than 20 years, working across entertainment publicity, corporate communications and crisis- and controversy management for numerous corporations, studios, networks, distribution platforms and high-level executives.
Prior to launching Babygrande PR in 2008, Leslie was senior vice president, publicity and corporate communications at Fox Television Studios, where she oversaw publicity for the studio’s development, series, limited series and original movies, as well as all corporate communications. She was previously vice president, publicity, at Warner Bros.’ Telepictures Productions, working on the Emmy-winning The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extra, and ABC’s reality franchise The Bachelor, among many other hit shows. Leslie also ran publicity for Disney Interactive, the then-videogame division of the Walt Disney Company, and was on the launch team of the Comcast-owned cable network, G4.
A business owner, wife and stepmom to three wonderful children, Leslie is also the author of the book Fine, I’ll Go Online! The Hollywood Publicist’s Guide to Successful Internet Dating, published in 2007 by St. Martin’s Press.
Executive Vice President
Jennifer Davidson has worked in public relations for over 20 years, having served in leadership positions in both corporate communications and entertainment publicity at networks and studios, alongside some of the entertainment industry’s biggest talent and content creators.
Prior to joining Babygrande PR in 2009, Jennifer was vice president, media relations for Sony Pictures Television, where she oversaw publicity for the studio’s development, series, original movies and daytime programs, as well as corporate communications. Jennifer was instrumental in the studio’s PR campaigns for such critically acclaimed and award-winning series as Breaking Bad, Damages and The Shield, among countless others, and oversaw publicity for the syndication launch of series including The King of Queens. Before Sony, Jennifer worked in media relations and talent relations at NBC Entertainment, overseeing publicity for the hit shows Friends, Mad About You, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the long-running, Emmy-winning drama Days of our Lives, as well as numerous other series.
Jason Tolbert has been with Babygrande PR for nearly six years, working across the company’s roster of television and film production companies, networks, digital platforms and others. During his tenure, Jason has led corporate initiatives and spearheaded numerous consumer campaigns, working with countless network partners and platforms to successfully launch a range of long-form and short-form content in both the scripted and unscripted spaces.
Prior to Babygrande, Jason was a publicist at Levine Communications, where he managed several of the firm’s accounts, from non-profit organizations to on-camera talent.
Jason is a graduate of Virginia Tech, earning Bachelor’s degrees in both Public Relations and Film/Theatre. During his time at the university, he also hosted and produced a local radio show in Blacksburg, VA.
As manager of publicity at Babygrande PR, Cydney Schiller brings to the company a decade of entertainment experience in publicity, production, awards and events. She works across Babygrande’s client roster – including production companies, networks and digital platforms – orchestrating tune-in campaigns and corporate strategies, executing media relations and events, and managing the company’s awards program. Well versed in the intricacies of production and the fastidiousness required to bring projects to fruition, Cydney’s credits include Dick Clark Productions’ award show circuit (Golden Globes, American Music Awards, American Country Music Awards, Streamys, etc.), The Oscars, The Grammys, as well as television series Tosh.0, Dancing with the Stars and Whose Line is It Anyway, among others. In addition to large-scale event coordination, Cydney’s background includes sales, client relations, account management and hospitality. A graduate of UCSB with a BA in English, Cydney has a passion for writing and all things creative, and is a music fanatic.
Desiree Hurlbut assists the team at Babygrande PR, bringing production, operations and administrative experience to the company, as well as a passion for the entertainment industry.
Desiree has worked in production, both in front of and behind the camera at Northwest Access TV, a Vermont-based public television station, as well as for NCC News in Syracuse, NY, as a broadcast journalist. She received a B.S. in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Information Management & Technology from Syracuse University.
Prior to joining Babygrande, Desiree was a marketing assistant with a focus on event coordination for a mid-size law firm in downtown Los Angeles. Outside of the office, Desiree can be seen hosting red-carpet entertainment events, and playing rugby for the Santa Monica Women’s Rugby Club.
